Want to know a little bit more?
Hello, I’m Michelle the author behind The Bohemian Raspberry blog. However, people most commonly refer to me as Bo or Chelle.
I just love gardening! I have two Allotments because one was never going to be enough and a nicely sized back garden, which I have recently been transforming into a ‘Urban Cottage Garden’ and a front garden which is my next project on the gardening ‘To-Do’ list.
When I’m not gardening I’m blogging about it or engaging with the gardening community on social media. I’m deeply passionate about inspiring others to find the love of gardening or the grow your own movement.
It is of utmost importance to me to adopt organic, green and ecologically sound methods when gardening. I believe we all have an ecological responsibility to better our environment.
I’m Currently studying for my Level 2 RHS Horticulture Diploma and RHS Practical Horticulture Level 3 certificate at my local college. I’ve always loved absorbing information and I am excited to grow and see where my horticulture journey takes me.
I find horticulture a wonderful form of mindful therapy. From growing my own food, to a bunch of flowers or just tending the earth. In my experience, I’ve found doing this not only helps myself and my mental health, but speaking about the benefits and experiences also helps many others battle mental health illnesses in this positive and rewarding way.
I love nothing more than helping to build confidence in newbie and amateur gardeners alike, encouraging them and demonstrating that gardening is easy and fun and doesn’t need to hinder your normal lifestyle and that EVERYONE can do it!
My favourite colour is Green and my favourite drink is either an Earl Grey or G&T. I also love a good game of netball.
Writing a garden lifestyle blog means I cover a whole manner of topics, from plants, allotments, gardens, shows, tools and equipment. If you think your brand would work perfectly with my blog then please drop me a line here!
I love to connect with my followers and other like minds on social media. You can tweet me or join me on YouTube and find all my gardening and lifestyle pictures on Instagram.
Bo, just read your New Years “pledge” and its brilliant.
Im guessing that it’s actually your life pledge and I’m so pleased about that because I share your passion.
I’m an old fella (one of the original hippies) with arthritis in the knees and a lung condition but I still work my allotments and like you chemical free.
I really hope your dreams come true, reading your blogs I have no doubt you will achieve what you are setting out to do.
From one old hippie to a younger one and with a pure heart I send my love to you and your family.
Have a great Christmas
